The Garage Behind the Truck

Local, independent and answerable

There are two ways to get a recovery truck in Ireland. You can ring a national number, wait in a queue, and be sent whichever subcontractor is on the list, or you can ring the local garage that owns the truck. We are the second kind. When you ring 087 288 2280 you speak to Mark, and when a truck arrives it is Mark driving it.

Webster's Garage has served Kilkenny drivers from Three Castles for years, and the recovery service grew out of the garage work: customers whose cars had stopped needed them brought in, and once you have a flatbed on the road, every breakdown in the county becomes a phone call away. Today the truck covers Kilkenny city, the whole of County Kilkenny and the M9 from Kilcullen to Waterford, 24 hours a day.

What we stand for

• Answer the phone. Every time, at every hour.
• Give an honest ETA and stick to it.
• Quote the price before the truck moves, and do not change it.
• Flatbed everything. No spec lifts, no dragging cars on their wheels.
• Treat the car as if it were our own, especially after a crash.
• Tell people the truth about whether a repair is worth doing.

The garage

If your car is recovered to us we can tell you what is wrong, what it will cost and whether it is worth doing. If you would rather have the work done elsewhere, we deliver the car there.
