This policy explains how Webster's Garage, trading as Kilkenny Recovery Truck, Webster's Garage, Three Castles, Kilkenny, R95 HN76 ("we") uses personal data. We are the data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.
What we collect
When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, email or in person we collect the details needed to carry out the job: your name, phone number, location, vehicle registration and details, what has happened, where the vehicle is to be delivered and, where relevant, your insurer and policy details. Payment card data is processed by our card terminal provider and is not stored by us.
Why we use it
To provide recovery, transport and garage services you have requested (performance of a contract); to invoice and keep accounting records (legal obligation); to deal with insurers, assessors and, where required, the Gardai in relation to a recovery (legitimate interests and legal obligation); and to respond to your enquiries.
This website
This website is a static site. It does not set cookies of its own and does not use contact forms. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and performance. The map on our contact page is provided by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated.
Sharing
We share data only where needed to do the job: with a garage or body shop you have asked us to deliver to, with your insurer or assessor where you have asked us to deal with them, with our accountants, and with the Gardai or a court where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Job and invoice records are kept for six years for tax and accounting purposes. WhatsApp and phone records are deleted when no longer needed for the job or any related claim.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to our processing of it. Ring the garage on 056 776 7476 or write to us at the address above. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission, 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963.
